Whoami
Hi, I'm Darren K. Hobbs. I have been a Telecom Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst for more than twenty years. Technically, my job title is Central Office Technician (COT), but the same job title is shared by the technicians that work in telephone switching offices, lineman, and even directly maintain customer equipment. I have always worked in a NOC, so COT isn't really accurate. My job is pretty similar to a SOC analyst in that I receive alarm notifications and tickets and respond accordingly. Some time ago I finally realized that my job wasn't really going places and decided to start working on a transition to something with more potential--cyber security.
In addition, I am an Army veteran, father, husband, amateur woodworker, sometime gardener, and lots of other things.
Feel free to reach out to me via one of my socials at the top of the page if you have questions or comments or just want to talk.
